| Comments: | Arrived 1525 to no visible water. Walked to Pink Cone (no eruption) and returned @1700 to a low pool. Pool then dropped 12 inches, and slowly rose to overflow @1800. Boiling began @1825, 1 meter boil progressed right into first burst at 1916. Very impressive first burst, paused at 1927. Second at 1932-- mediocre, paused at 1938. Third at 1943--decent, paused at 1951. Fourth at 1957, paused at 2005. We left due to approaching darkness, approaching bison and continuous rain. |
