Comments:Prior to BHI eruption, very low and variable levels of standing water observed for several hours. As eruption became imminent, Pool filled and was highly agitated, called on radio as “waves”. After about a minute of that, flow into the pool greatly increased, resulting in a torrent of water down the runoff channel. That continued for perhaps another minute, then BHI began to erupt. The BHI jet appeared to be thicker at its base than seen in prior years, and also not as tall.
