| Comments: | AMAZING 2+ hour buildup for the start!!!! 400'+!!! Gorgeous day outside!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Runoff not too bad when I arrived. At around 0950, SV began picking up in energy like it had for a stretch a few days ago with slowly better volume & sustain, and better willingness for nice play independent of NV activity. NV responded by slowly getting more volume and more frequent & thicker vertical. The runoff improved and we were getting frequent 3's down the channel. The activity continued improving with gradually thicker and more sustained SV. SV vertical bursts became more common, and NV steadily got bigger and more frequent vertical. About 30m prior Art reported the first sustained SV vertical. At this point NV was giving out almost start-worthy vertical every several minutes. At 1142 SV had a massive vertical surge close to 30', NV followed it up with a large vertical and it began climbing. The eruption was insanely tall! Gorgeous day outside! Wind generally towards echinus It didn't seem to affect the height much but it definitely had a bit of the beehive effect to it, with the top being pushed to my right as viewed from decker. Clear water and very loud. Height came down and it began transitioning to steam. Gradual steam transition in NV but duration is settled on 6m from Art's video. |
