Comments:No idea whether Plate has been dormant since the previous eruption or that it's just been missed, but in any case a strong eruption with a couple of jets early on making it well past Sponge's cone (that said, it's been a hot minute since I've seen Sponge with white water above the cone's rim, so might be less energy available in that area). I recall Plate's column has a slight angle to it - especially visible with the biggest jets -, but this one went (from the cam's perspective) straight up, while wind speed doesn't seem that strong to influence the angle in a significant way.
