35154 12 Jun 2024 @ 0645 12 Jun 2024 @ 1630 LynnS No evidence of any thermal activity. Pools calm. Northern pool several inches below ground level; wind riffles on surface of the pool in the afternoon. Southern crater water appears to be at or near top of the lion. No bubbles, no steam. Water appears to have a brown tinge.
34773 30 May 2024 @ 1722 --- Stephen_Gemar Does not appear to have seen an eruption in a while. All the runoff channels down to the Lake that I’m able to see are dry. The crater and the pool in the “cone” behind it appear to be filled with warm water and are gently steaming. No boiling or any sort of activity observed. The pool in the “cone” is not close to overflow.
26939 08 Jul 2023 @ 1706 --- nails Looks like it hasn’t seen any activity for a while. All runoff channels to the lake are dry. Water level in the big “cone” pool is well below overflow.
22500 11 Jul 2022 @ 1301 --- minissa Water not easily visualized from the road.
16174 18 Sep 2020 @ 1049 18 Sep 2020 @ 1117 Art Round pool about 12” below rim. Totally calm. Vents closest to road calm but overflowing.
10616 16 Oct 2018 @ 1510 --- Tara No signs of reactivation, still inactive.
9048 06 Jul 2018 @ 1305 --- minissa During 3 hours of watching Lone Pine, including a full eruption of LP, the pool of Occasional visible from road did nothing more than intermittently fluctuate as if it might erupt, then quit. It sat for the entire duration at just below the high water mark visible in crater, perhaps 8" below rim of formation. Not sure if this represents dormancy or just severely changed behavior. Pool is still hot based on pretty blue color of water, but orange cyanobacteria easily visible in right-hand runoff channel (seen legally from road)
9033 05 Jul 2018 @ 0708 05 Jul 2018 @ 0715 bhoppe Overflowing from the vents next to the formation for the entire time. In past years, I would typically see it pulsate and erupt from the same level. Lone Pine was full, overflowing, and bubbling.
5890 07 Sep 2017 @ 1608 --- cb leaving the area. hoped to get a closed interval for Occasional but it didn't erupt again. just a bit of boiling around the rim.
4312 14 Jun 2017 @ 1655 14 Jun 2017 @ 1747 Art No eruption for close to an hour of observation
