will write up a large report later but in general the longer the interval the more substantial the progression. On short, sub 15hr intervals it would splash into an eruption. on 15 to 16hr intervals frying pan would be lightly huffing for fifteen minutes before Beehive or Indy. over 17hrs would have full frying pan for two hours preceeding.
BSB frying pan was the main indicator of an eruption. BSB frying pan, assuming that Beehive was going to have a progression, would turn on two to three and a half hours prior to Beehive. |

Adding this note to summarize my Bee observations this trip: Although the intervals do vary alot, there was shocking consistency with the cycle leading up to an eruption. As Beehive gets closer to an eruption, the durations of BSB got longer (an increase from 2 to 5 minutes) on all three eruptions I saw. During most BSB cycles West bubbler will start and then in the next few minutes either South Bubbler will start or West will continue to dominate. Each long duration eruption of west seemed to indicate that the next BSB cycles would have longer durations. Once BSB starts, west will drain. A very clear sign for all three Beehives was that once BSB starts without West bubbler, Beehive was erupting within the next 30min. Also of note is that Beehive itself was relatively dead until about 45min before the eruption, once it starts responding to bubblers with large splashing it seemed imminent.The draining sound was heard after one eruption. The Indicator gurgled audibly before the same Beehive with the draining sound. |
