GHG-15 (UTF on the path to Solitary on the right side as you head to Solitary) is much hotter and seems to be enlarging under the boardwalk. It seems rangers are monitoring the temperature. Looks REALLY hot. The UTF on the left side of the boardwalk has no microbes and occasionally sends up bubbles. When I went back for more documentation photos, at 1620, the side of GHG-15 (right) closest to Geyser Hill was softly roaring like a fumarole, but the left side of the large opening still had water in it and the vent closest to Solitary was splashing away. |

Around this time a large plume of steam rose ~northwest of me as viewed from the boardwalk near Clepsydra, a mile or more out, along or beyond Tangled Creek. A feature I could not identify had surges of water visible with he naked eye from the FPP boardwalk, apparently voluminous, but not extremely tall. It subsided <5m after I began observing, with visible steam continuing until I left the area. Unsure what this could have been. |

Small mud geyser along south side of spur boardwalk at Thumb Paint Pots, West Thumb Geyser Basin. Janet Jones and I referred to it as "WT-Mud." Though larger eruptions had been reported by rangers, the eruptions we saw varied from bubbling to less than 1 foot to vigorous bursting up to 3 feet high. Intervals ranged from 2 to 5 minutes and durations were 10 to 15 seconds. We noted that if a large bubble failed to trigger an eruption, the actual eruption that followed would be more powerful. Here are the times I recorded: 1147, 1149:38, 1152:04, 1155:38, 1159:08, 1202:46 (break) 1232:50, 1236:03, 1239:56, 1241:06, 1243:08, 1247:38, 1252:42. |

Viewed from bench at Constant. From the vantage point on bench the geyser is just beyond and to the right (upslope) of small trees growing on slope. Eruption is quick, thin bursting - hard to photograph due to short duration and distance away. Bursts/jets are at least twice the height of the nearby young trees on the slope. For multiple burst sets all the bursts occurred within a few seconds. 1429 2 bursts. 1438 5 bursts. 1453 1 burst. 1456 1 burst. 1500 1 burst. 1507 2 bursts. 1509 6 bursts. 1514 3 bursts. Hard for this observer to tell if these are distinct eruptions or just larger activity in a long duration event. Steam from feature waxed and waned, but would need binoculars to see if activity was continuous. Based on note from Mkeller on Saturday July 18, 2020 this feature is about 30 feet NW of Collapsed Cave geyser. |

Theorising it could be a feature somewhere between the Lakes and Porkchop which, while erupting, causes both the Lakes and Porkchop to rise in temperature (and, at the end of such an eruption, drop in temperature simultaniously). Wouldn't be surprised if it were to be the Lakes themselves. |

It seems as if something near YVO's Gray Lakes Tributary Logger is erupting. Small spikes seem to be occurring about every 3 hours and cause a raise in the trace of less than a °C. Spike does look rather thin, so this would suggest an eruption of <= 2 minutes. Have looked through Norris' Back Basin map and table in The Geysers of Yellowstone, 5th edition, but couldn't really find a match in the southwestern portion of Back Basin. |

I suspect there are two features behind lone star that are behaving as geysers. The first one lies at the west edge of the hillside cluster just before the thick grass.
