| Note: | Observed from 0820 to 1730. When I arrived at 0820 the boardwalk was not wet with quiet steam coming from both Ledge crater and White/Pink formation to the left, but no water from either. Jetsam Pool was down about a foot from yesterday, but the vent on the left shoulder was splashing, as MA had observed before the Ledge eruption she saw on 4/28/15. The Finger vents on the left edge of Palm Pool were also splashing water. Water was not seen in Black Growler, above and to the left of Ledge, until 1018. Overflow from Black Growler seemed to increase as the day went on. Palm and Jetsam Pools also went down during the day. Udo surmised that they both fill as result of runoff from Ledge eruptions. When I left at 1730, light steam continued from White/Pink and Ledge, but no evidence of water. MA will return tomorrow, and I will on Monday. |
