| Note: | The report of the University of Utah's 2018 study of Steamboat Geyser has been released. Goggle: "U scientists plumb the depths of the world's tallest geyser". They were able to track the fissures and channels down to about 450 feet. They appear to be planning to do a new and larger study in 2021. or later, to look deeper into the earth. It appears that the 2018 study did not go deep enough to find the reservoir(s). |
