Note:Water levels in both Lakeshore and the side pool would drop after an eruption, further after strong minors but never out of sight, and the side pool would start superheated boiling to 1 to 1½ feet which would die down through the interval. The side pool's pencil vent would splash during Lakeshore's overflows/eruptions with a fun chugging sound. Often Lakeshore would push and get to overflow but then subside, usually 1-2 minutes before the next event. Once in my observation at least two of these pushes happened in a roe, causing that interval between events to be longer.
