| Note: | More information about the continuing earthquake swarm southwest of Grizzly Lake (& south-southwest of Mammoth): Per USGS YVO Monthly Update for August, the swarm began July 29. There were 221 earthquakes in that location during the month of August alone. The swarm continues, as seen on the University of Utah Recent Earthquake Map. The 3.9 yesterday is the largest event so far. (Many thanks to Bob Partner for sharing this info!) |
