| Note: | 7/10/1995 = {generic morning rove start time} - Tantalus was muddy & steaming- my curiosity was up… Echinus? Yellow Funnel full & boiling. Marker still on Vixen since 5th? Pearl gurgling & steaming – I have seen no water for many days. Bastille was quiet- pool partially full. Couldn’t see the mud of Blue Mud - Sizzle Pot empty.- {NBK8} boiling 6-12”. And then I heard a new noise! Tantalus Geyser was erupting from 4 vents 5-10 ft high- water very muddy. Root Pool was all drained except for a pool about 4” deep- very impressive. - - -
3:30 pm: Activity @ Tantalus geyser down – boils over four vents Root Pool has boils over the vents of the two pools w/a water channel connecting them. Water level down a few inches @ Yellow Funnel & boils over vent. Emerald has bubble release too. |
