In 1979 Tom Pittenger reported that “Pearl Geyser continues to pulsate gently in its pastel pool. The overflow from Pearl necessitated the construction of a section of boardwalk along this portion of the trail. Just for general information a description of an eruption of Pearl states that the plume was fan-shaped and reached a height of fifteen feet. It has been many years since an eruption has occurred,“ |
