Note:Wednesday June 20 1979 - At 8:30 Steamboat looks somewhat stronger than in weeks previous. The left vent or closer one has been spouting up to 50’ and the far vent 10 to 20’. The run-off is noticeably larger possibly due to the recent precipitation. Cistern Spring is still somewhat agitated and approximately a foot lower than usual. Steamboat is still winding down from Monday’s eruption.
