Note:July 14 1976 - inferred time no time noted 2nd entry - Corporal Geyser - - has an eruptive cycle of approximately 20 minutes and 34 seconds. I began my observation of Corporal just as the pool filled and overflow began. The eruption ceased soon afterwards and I began timing. The pool drained approximately 4-5 inches. Once the pool has drained to the level of white sinter deposit the pool gradually begins to refill. Slow at first, then increasing in frequency and intensity bubbles begin to appear at the surface of the pool. As the feature approaches the end of its eruptive cycle - - bubbling becomes quite vigorous. Steam bubbles can be heard hitting cap rock in the vent before they surface. The largest eruptive display reaches a whopping 6-8”. Spectacular!!!
