Note:- no time noted - Colloidal Pool was a grayish boiling pool and the change in activity was first noticed on September 26 when it became more turbulent and the water level dropped a foot or so. The next day it was down 20 inches. After a period of fluctuation, it became a mud geyser on, or shortly before, October 3. The pool drained completely between plays which reached 20 to 30 feet. The activity was very violent. Two separate geysers developed by the 4th and on the 5th the activity had ceased. Since that date, Colloidal has decreased in turbulence but remains gray and murky. The pool is considerably enlarged by erosion during the geyser phase. = Hurricane Vent lost water at the same rate and time with Colloidal and was completely dry on October 3. It began to gain water on the 4th and was full again on the 5th. When the water was drained, tunnel could be seen which probably connects with Colloidal.
