| Note: | Visited after observing a surge in steam through the trees from morning glory. Sustained boils along the right half of the crater to the height of the rim. Sustained overflow into the river from the far side. Water levels inside the crater rose and fell in line with the intensity of boiling. Most intense boiling approached but did not exceed 5 feet and pool level never reached the rim on the near side. Observed for 5 minutes then left, but activity continued after I left. |
