Note:First, some things to note: RL=right to left, LR=left to right, D=duration, I=previous interval, and Bijou pause durations were calculated from the time of the last significant (more than just a spritz) splash to the time of the first full-bodied splash. In summary, the SW vents were gurgling/thunking for the entire observation period, Giant roils were LR, six pauses were observed with the longest duration being 2m30s, and Mastiff splashes from the right (south) side were almost exclusively RL during pauses. // Bijou pause at 1403 (D=1m04s) with weak Mastiff RL splashing from right and some vertical splashing from center. Big splash from the center of Mastiff at 1406 followed directly by RL splashing from the center and LR splashing from the right. Bijou pause at 1423 (D=2m06s, I=20m24s) with Mastiff RL splashing from the center and right. At 1441 Bijou attempted to pause. Full Bijou pause at 1447 (D=1m17s, I=23m38s) with a mostly quiet Mastiff. Mastiff LR splashing lapped out onto the platform at 1504. Bijou paused at 1507 (D=2m25s, I=20m26s) with light Mastiff RL splashing and four roils from Giant that reached half cone height. Mastiff LR splashes lapped out onto the platform at 1512 and 1515. At this time I walked over to Grotto and watched a strong start at 1526 while checking over my shoulder every minute to see if the Bijou steam cloud had disappeared. I am fairly confident there were no pauses while I was away. At 1529 I was in view of Bijou again. Bijou paused at 1534 (D=46s, I=26m35s). Right at the pause start there was lapping LR splashes out of Mastiff which quickly changed to weak RL spritzes. Also at 1534, Oblong was seen ns. At 1546 there was an attempted Bijou pause. Mastiff LR splashes lapped out onto the platform at 1553, and then Bijou entered a full pause (D=2m30s, I=19m26s) with weak Mastiff RL splashing from the right and center. Catfish had several stronger splashes at the beginning of this pause. At 1620 Bijou attempted to pause with perhaps 20s of very weak splashing. I then left to escape the heat.
