| Note: | 04/17/1973 Additional comments on Ledge Geyser: The maximum horizontal extent of the eruption from the main vent was 118 feet. If the average angle of play from the vent, being 35º is used, the maximum height and length are 83 and 144 feet respectively. Due to the arching effect more reasonable values are 75 and 125 feet respectively. However, if the maximum vertical angle of play of 40º is used the values of height and length are 99 & 154 feet, or 85 & 140 feet respectively. |
