Note: | 09/06/1971 More observations on Dr. Morey’s Porkchop: it was practically empty but erupting at around 10:30, 1½ inches below the rim but shooting a fine pencil like ray of water 15-20 feet, here each burst of water was like what one would hear of the exhaust pipe of an old John Deere “A” tractor was sputtering a little over a foot below the water level – both in sounds and in the time interval between each sputter. At approximately 6:30 PM the pool was almost empty again, but with little bubbling action; it soon increased again however. The vent at the base of the pool from which DR Morey’s PorkChop plays is roughly an equalangular triangle, about 3” long on the base & 1¼ in for the height. |
