| Note: | 08/11/1966 Steamboat High 300-400’ steam column still issuing with audible & strong force at 745am. Viewing area receiving a fine spray. Silt & sand not as evident on hand rails as last year – Mostly small patches of fine silt & clay. Wind knocking steam column down a bit. At 330 still steaming strongly N vent seems to be putting a good water spray. Went out to it – like a hard rain. At 3:15 both vents began to spray heavily – heavily enough to put quit a bit of H2O down runoff channel. |
