| Note: | Site at or near the former Cradle Mud Spring first noticed steaming on Oct 5. Surface temps ranged form 77-81C with my cheapo heat gun. Through the rest of the month a circular shaped edge darkened, with some tiny pea-gravel sized rocks gaining a tinge of green. With wet ground on closing weekend it was not visibly steaming, but center temp was 72C on Oct 31. The edge is about 4' off the boardwalk, south and west from Vixen, maybe 8-10' from the open sinkhole, on the same (west) side of the boardwalk. |
