28389 21 Sep 2023 @ 1238 21 Sep 2023 @ 1241 Micah Kipple A couple above-ground splashes from the feature to the north of Rusty and borehole Y8.
28372 20 Sep 2023 @ 0919 --- Micah Kipple The feature mentioned in my previous note has now briefly paused before returning to water phase. With energetic bursting 1-4 feet high. There is an interesting lack of chugging like I observed when I first arrived on the constant bench.
28371 20 Sep 2023 @ 0916 --- Micah Kipple A feature that has been erupting with a similar style to Whirligig's rooster tail vent about 50 feet to the right of Pinto from the bench right at the base of the hillside suddenly switched to a loud roaring steam phase at this time.
28301 17 Sep 2023 @ 1223 --- SantaFe108 Gibbon Meadows geyser Not ie, steaming quietly.
28282 16 Sep 2023 @ 1540 --- SantaFe108 Semi-Centenniel Geyser Still a lighter green color as last reported.
28217 11 Sep 2023 @ 1245 11 Sep 2023 @ 1330 CP New Imperial: eruptions from 1 to 6 minutes in duration, with pauses of 20 to 30 seconds between.
28125 08 Sep 2023 @ 1110 --- Graham Halfway Spring on Seven Mile Hole trail is overflowing.
27670 18 Aug 2023 @ 1650 --- bbev Semi-centenial: pool is a splitpea soup green, where normally l have seen it more blackish brown.
27571 13 Aug 2023 @ 1855 --- minissa I think this is the feature Scott calls Old Surprise Spring. It has been erupting every 10-12 minutes during our Fountain sit, but you have to judge more from the steam cloud because from the overlook it's over a small shoulder of land and it looks like the formation is a deep bowl.
27550 12 Aug 2023 @ 1411 --- JSJ LKNN001 (= RCN database designation) in the Kaleidoscope Group, Lower Geyser Basin; = 1B/vent 1B of Wolf & Paperiello, 1989 (Report on the Kaleidoscope & Sprinkler Groups, pp. 2, 7-8); vent is located 7 meters north-northeast of Kaleidoscope Geyser & 9 meters south-southeast of the center of Drain Geyser; UNNG's vent is at 44° 33' 16.05" North latitude, 110° 48' 47.58" West longitude. I suspect this vent is the same as "Kaleidoscope’s Indicator Geyser". Blipping / low spouting.
27548 12 Aug 2023 @ 1345 --- JSJ LKNN002 - unnamed geyser in the Kaleidoscope Group, Lower Geyser Basin. Located southeast of Three Vent Geyser & southwest of Kaleidoscope Geyser. Entire basin is water-filled; orange-floored with a dark green vent area. Receiving runoff from Kaleidoscope Geyser eruptions.
27536 11 Aug 2023 @ 1336 --- JSJ Broken Egg Spring - in light overflow & gently bubbling.
27498 10 Aug 2023 @ 1510 --- minissa Purple Pools: North boiling intermittently 1-2 feet high from what looks like a low pool {binoculars from between Oblong and Giant}; likewise East. South is periodically sending up a wide steam cloud but unable to see any splashing. Just sayin'...
27304 28 Jul 2023 @ 2100 --- SantaFe108 Two vents in the NBK-3 area spouting ~1ft high.
27266 27 Jul 2023 @ 1615 27 Jul 2023 @ 1650 SantaFe108 Snowglobes: No eruptions observed during this time. Snowglobe #1 and #2 have merged to become a single larger pool.
26952 08 Jul 2023 @ 2000 08 Jul 2023 @ 2037 nails Feature erupting to about 1 foot, durations about 1 minute, intervals about 2 minutes. Located on left side ( looking upstream from bridge) of Tantalus Creek just across the little trees from Corporal.
26914 08 Jul 2023 @ 1125 08 Jul 2023 @ 1225 Janet Jones I thought "Waterfall Geyser" at West Thumb was in here - did someone give it a number? 3/4 full of blue, opaque water. Some bubbles rising in it. Also, "Dancing Geyser" continues to be full and blue and overflowing with microbes growing in the overflow channel. Thumb Geyser was half full, blue opaque water with orange microbes around the edges. The UTF behind Thumb Geyser that has been active for quite some time was splashing. And, I'll add in Percolating Spring here as well since it's not yet listed: No water at all - vent is still full of gravel (amazingly so - really wonder what happened there) Oil Slick is also probably not in here - no water, also no water in Ephedra or Perforated. Lakeside Spring had heavier than normal overflow. Bluebell Pool and Seismograph Pool are also still well below overflow.
26880 07 Jul 2023 @ 0833 --- Tara Gibbon Meadows geyser erupting to 5-10'
26807 03 Jul 2023 @ 1114 --- bbev Gibbon meadow feature is off. 1300 off.
26791 02 Jul 2023 @ 0852 --- bbev Gibbon Meadow feature off, no water, little steam 1057, barely erupting, maybe 1-2' from both vents, can only see water with binoculars.
26776 01 Jul 2023 @ 1146 --- bbev Gibbon Meadow spouter. No steam on a warm day and no water to be seen. Have noticed that the activity has been decreasing over the past week. This is first time l have driven by and not seen any water since l first noticed it erupting on June 12.
26629 23 Jun 2023 @ 1130 --- bbev Spouter in Gibbon meadow continues. Play is 3-5 feet at this time. I have observed some slightly stronger play on occasion during my daily trek to Madison from Norris.
26488 20 Jun 2023 @ 0810 20 Jun 2023 @ 0813 aferrara Small crack ~10' SE of Jagged sputtering 1-3" tall.
26473 19 Jun 2023 @ 1712 --- ypcaribou Spouter at far N west end of Gibbon Meadows as seen while driving NB... "Speaking of Gibbon Meadows, that thing is steaming but definitely not throwing water like it was last week."
26481 19 Jun 2023 @ 1400 --- JSJ Small, unnamed feature 22 meters southwest of Jagged Spring (Black Sand Basin, Upper Geyser Basin). Vent is at 44° 27' 43.08" North latitude, 110° 51' 13.93" West longitude. Perpetual spouting - low to very low splashing.
26468 19 Jun 2023 @ 1330 --- bbev Gibbon Mdw. Geyser N of Sylvan Sprg. Very little steam and no water seen in brief, 5 min observation.
26448 18 Jun 2023 @ 1531 --- Graham Mud Volcano Dragons Mouth Spring has cleared the rocks that fell and blocked the entrance. It is now sending nice waves out of its mouth. Not sure when it cleared out?
26393 17 Jun 2023 @ 0806 --- Graham Snow Globe close to the boardwalk appears less active in 5 eruptions observed, splashed weakly in 2 of them. Second snowglobe erupting about 2 feet.
26378 16 Jun 2023 @ 1907 --- Craigmon99 Pool across from CGG-6 looks hotter than when I first arrived.
26385 16 Jun 2023 @ 1613 --- JSJ Small feature in Flood Group, just above the Firehole River's western bank, about 69 meters west-northwest of Flood Geyser, located at 44° 31' 15.65" North latitude, 110° 49' 46.75" West longitude. Slightly intermittent spraying and spritzing from a sublinear vent.
26384 16 Jun 2023 @ 1422 16 Jun 2023 @ 1427 JSJ LKNN001 (RCN database designation) - a geyser in the Kaleidoscope Group (possibly the same feature as "Kaleidoscope's Indicator Geyser"), Lower Geyser Basin; = UNNG 1B/vent 1B of Wolf & Paperiello, 1989 (Report on the Kaleidoscope & Sprinkler Groups, pp. 2, 7-8); vent is located 7 meters north-northeast of Kaleidoscope Geyser & 9 meters south-southeast of the center of Drain Geyser; vent is at 44° 33' 16.05" North latitude, 110° 48' 47.58" West longitude. Occasional low splashing at 1422; frequent low splashing from 1425 to 1427. No actual eruptions seen as in some previous years.
26270 12 Jun 2023 @ 1340 12 Jun 2023 @ 1415 aferrara Watched several eruptions of Snowglobe and friend. Average height on the second vent 2-3 ft, average for Snowglobe less than a foot. Average interval 83 seconds. 2 eruptions got a few drops of water onto the boardwalk
26182 09 Jun 2023 @ 0625 --- Graham Snow Globe and next hole still active like yesterday. Eruption height seems slightly reduced from last night but second vent still getting slightly over 2 feet. Watched 10 eruptions.
26129 07 Jun 2023 @ 1537 07 Jun 2023 @ 1557 aferrara Second vent, west of feature under the doublet pool sign is growing its vent. Added about 1 square inch to the size of its vent in the last 15 minutes. Seems to have water levels connected to the doublet pool sign geyser, but at a cursory glance doesn't seem to relate in terms of eruption start/stop time. Two other vents have standing water that rises and falls with the erupting vents.
26081 06 Jun 2023 @ 1204 --- SantaFe108 Spring across the boardwalk west of UNNG-GHG-15 overflowing and occasionally bubbling.

25554 12 May 2023 @ 1436 12 May 2023 @ 1454 Janet Jones "Singlet Geyser" in the overflow channel of Doublet Pool was loudly hissing as a fumarole. I could hear it from near the path to Solitary Geyser around 1436 to Sponge. At 1454, it abruptly stopped and started to gurgle.
25373 09 May 2023 @ 1853 --- Tara Old Bellefontaine, Fountain Group, LGB. Pool empty, now that I can see better it appears that the pool has not been full in quite some time. There is no bacteria evident in the runoff channel and the edges appear to be eroding.
25348 06 May 2023 @ 1848 --- SantaFe108 Frying Pan near Double Pool began making noise and stopped a minute later.
25333 06 May 2023 @ 1350 --- Tara Old Bellefontaine, Fountain Group, LGB. No water visible in crater

Canary is extending more in the direction of Jupiter Terrace. Water is not filling the old vent. Decent flow down Marble Terrace. New Blue is pretty and flowing into the terraces. A small trickle is reaching the bottom of the hill. Narrow Gauge has great color to the far end. Orange Spring Mound is still flowing well from the end near the road. Prospect Spring still active, though flow much less than on my June visit and not threatening the road. Mound Spring is still flowing well. Palette is flowing well from the pool west of Devil's Thumb. Thankfully the flow is more away from the Thumb. The pool to the east of the Thumb is not overflowing the terrace as much as usual but appears hotter. The overflow is going south and west of that pool rather than over the side and is pooling hotter water. Cleopatra is unchanged.
23956 20 Sep 2022 @ 1607 --- ypcaribou Root Pool. Water joined in middle. Murky, sour yellow green.

22784 18 Jul 2022 @ 0713 18 Jul 2022 @ 0945 LynnS Clepsydra’s side vent bursting 1-3 feet above ground during this time
22785 17 Jul 2022 @ 1357 --- LynnS Clepsydra’s side vent bursting 1-3 feet high. This is the first bursting activity I have noticed this season since I started seriously watching the Fountain Complex on June 22.
22684 17 Jul 2022 @ 1200 --- MAB NGB: Increased cyclic activity from three holes up slope NNE from Incline G, just below the two grindstone looking mounds, with heavy forced splashes then a roar of steam, then quiet, repeated in waves. This appears to be very nearly in the same location as the blowout which occurred in Sept 1971 and will do some photo comparisons. Will keep an eye on it! - - - Visible water also is pulsing out below the thick sinter at the base of the slope below the old roadway E of the Incline location. Farther south cool groundwater from the over full Nuphar area also continues to flow at a steady rate into the basin but the green algae growths are diminishing. - - - Cross referencing this as an Incline Note also since finding things in Other Geyser is not always simple if you don't remember the year.
22529 12 Jul 2022 @ 1612 --- cb Norris Porcelain. Primrose spring group. On 7/8 I reported that the color had changed specifically in the pool closest to the bw. That pool has cleared up a bit and is not as gray/black. more light gray with a blue hint. It is still erupting to ~2'. Other 4 pools in the area have cleared up and are a bit more blue.
22400 08 Jul 2022 @ 1129 --- cb NPB. Primrose Spring group. 3 of the 4 main pools are quiet except for the pool on the south end of the group. it has a 2' bursting boil and is dark gray/black in color.
22251 30 Jun 2022 @ 1810 --- Tara Old Bellefontaine, Fountain Group, LGB. Full and overflowing. Had been below overflow on 6/29.
22219 29 Jun 2022 @ 1940 29 Jun 2022 @ 2045 Tara Old Bellefontaine, Fountain Group, LGB. Water level down ~1', pool visible from boardwalk. Runoff channel toward Clepsydra is also dry. At 2012 it had not changed but by 2045 (after Fountain erupted) it had refilled to about 6" below the rim.
22199 29 Jun 2022 @ 1008 --- mwolf hot ground turned steamy sinkhole near green dragon at norris smells like dirty wet socks with a hint of vomit of someone who recently ate processed pork. or maybe the towel bin at a ymca with a hint of elk carcass
