Note:- no time noted - Hurricane Vent, an ex-geyser that had blown out its tube many years ago,was boiling more vigorously than usual and its water level had dropped about four inches. (This had never been noticed in the preceding six years by the writer.) Hurricane Vent is generally a few degrees above boiling, but during this increased boiling period its temperature was only 199ºF., which is the boiling point for this altitude of 7,500 feet.
